The Cisco Networking Academy is a series of four courses designed to prepare students to pass the CCNA Exam (Cisco Certified Network Associate). After completion of the program students will also be prepared for the Comp/TIA N+ Exam and a have a basic knowledge of network design which can be used to help prepare for the CCDA Exam (Cisco Certified Design Associate). The topics covered in the theory portion of the courses are also covered in the hands on labs. Extensive use of Cisco routers and switches is used in Semesters 2, 3 and 4. Semester 3 students will also complete an extensive Local Area Network design project and semester 4 students will complete a Wide Area Network design project. The CCNA classes at Long Beach City College are credit courses and standard tuition, fees and registration procedures apply. CCNA I is offered during Fall and Spring semesters. The four courses must be taken in sequence and can not be taken concurrently. |
